  3. Processing by SEC: The SEC retrieves the requested documents from its records and prepares plain and certified true copies.

  4. Delivery: Documents are delivered via courier service, typically within 3 to 5 working days within Metro Manila and up to 7 working days for provincial deliveries from release of the documents by the SEC.

Important Clarification: SEC Express is not instant download

A common misconception is that the SEC Express System is like a downloadable database.

In reality:

  • Documents are physically retrieved from SEC archives

  • Each copy is certified and processed individually

  • This is why there is a processing and delivery timeframe

So while the system is online, it is still a document retrieval and certification service, not a real-time data portal.
